Makerspace, Inc. is a Boston-based non-profit which was founded in 2024 by Roxbury locals and husband and wife duo, Anthony & Katherine Keller. As lifelong technology career professionals who believe that technology is the single most important catalyst for positive change in our future, along with the creativity of the young minds who harness it. Unfortunately, access to the equipment and training required to master these tools and resources is not always possible.
We created Makerspace, Inc as an organization which will not only give Bostons inner-city youth with access to cutting-edge technology, software, and machines, but also training classes led by industry professionals on how to use them.
Makerspace also exists to provide a safe space where teens can socialize and network with a diverse group of people including industry professionals who volunteer to train and help us run the space, as well as peers from different backgrounds from throughout the city.
It is our hope that Makerspace will at a minimum provide you with an opportunity to unleash your creative genius while doing something productive with your free time, but our goal is to help you discover your unknown creative talents, which we can help to hone and foster, leading to future career and entreprenuerial opportunities. Let’s build a better future together!
